It’s a decision that so many of us have, but fear can often be a barrier.
I read the following article with interest: http://smallbusiness.co.uk/working-brits-consider-starting-business-2017-2536327/
A study of 1000 participants found that 54% said ‘they wish to become their own boss at some point during their career’.
Why might this be?
Work-life balance – this appears to be one of the main factors. Being in control of your own schedule and setting your own priorities.
Earn more money – to create great wealth, entrepreneurship is the obvious path.
Follow your passion – imagine living your passion, day in day out, not just having it as a hobby that fits around your job. For many, this is the drive that helps them step outside the box.
Sense of achievement – building your own dream and creating this from scratch creates a huge sense of self-worth and is great for self-esteem.
It is well known that entrepreneurship doesn’t follow the ‘easy route’ but if you’re willing to work hard and make sacrifices, the rewards can certainly make it all worthwhile. In the age of the internet, the world has never been smaller and creating your own venture has never been more accessible. The world is your oyster and the only person standing in your way is you.
